	abstract = {Severe hypothyroid presenting with colonic dilation is a phenomenon known as myxedema pseudo-volvulus. We present two cases of middle-aged males who presented to our institution with sigmoid volvulus and hypothyroidism. We treated one with laparotomy and sigmoid resection and the other was treated conservatively with thyroid hormone replacement and resolution of his symptoms. Here we review the literature and explore treatment options for this rare presentation.},
