
Elijah Dixon, MD, BSc, MSc (Epi), FRCSC, FACS

Dr. Dixon obtained his medical degree from the University of Manitoba. He undertook residency training in General Surgery at the University of Calgary, obtaining his fellowship in 2001. He subsequently completed a Master's degree in Epidemiology where he focused on the field of health services research. After completing a fellowship in Hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery and transplantation at the University of Toronto, he commenced practice in General Surgery with a focus on HPB at the FMC.
He is presently an Associate Professor of Surgery/Oncology/Community Health Sciences at the University of Calgary. Dr. Dixon’s clinical practice is dedicated to the management of hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases. His research is focused on quality improvement, health services research, and clinical trials. He is currently the Past President of CAGS and the Past President of the AHPBA.
