
Nicola de’Angelis, MD, PhD

Nicola de’Angelis is a consultant general surgeon with a special interest in minimally invasive and robotic digestive surgery. He graduated from the Medical School at the Università degli Studi di Parma (Italy) in 2005 and completed his residency in General Surgery at the Università degli Studi di Pisa (Italy). Dr de’Angelis obtained his PhD at the University of Naples “Federico II” in 2016. He was trained at the Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris, AP-HP (France), at the King’s College Hospital in London (UK), and at the CHUM St. Luc of Montreal (Canada). Since 2012, he has been working at the Henri Mondor University Hospital of Creteil, France, where he is currently an Associate Professor of Digestive Surgery. He is the Director of the Inter-University Diploma in Minimally-Invasive and Robotic Techniques in Oncologic Digestive Surgery delivered by the University of Paris Est, UPEC, and Sorbonne University. Dr de’Angelis is also responsible for the World Society of Emergency Surgery (WSES) Fellowship in "Gastrointestinal Emergencies and Robotic Surgery". Dr de’Angelis authored more than 180 scientific articles published in peer-reviewed journals in general and digestive surgery.
