Graduated in Medicine from the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1984), Master's in Medicine from the Brazilian Institute of Studies and Research in Gastroenterology - IBEPEGE (1985), Doctorate in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo - FMUSP (2000) and Full Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (2012). He is currently Director of the Service of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Bronchoesophagoscopy at the Hospital das Clínicas da FMUSP, Advisor of the Graduate Program in Sciences in Gastroenterology at FMUSP, Medical Collaborator Professor of the Discipline of Surgery of the Digestive Apparatus at the Department of Gastroenterology at FMUSP, Supervisor of the Medical Residency Program in Endoscopy at COREME-FMUSP. He has experience in the area of Medicine, with emphasis on Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Surgery, acting on the following subjects: Endoscopic Treatment of Obesity and Complications of Bariatric Surgery, Endoscopic Treatment of Early Neoplasms of the Digestive System, Diagnosis and Treatment of Biliopancreatic Pathologies (Coledocoscopy).
